40 and feeling FABULOUS!!!!

Well the day has finally come!  I.. AM.. OFFICIALLY... 40!!!!  It actually doesn't feel too bad either.  So, what did I do today??? Inquiring minds want to know, right?? :-)  Well, you will be happy to know that I DID have a plan and I did EVERYTHING I wanted to do today.. well except one thing.. but I'll get to that.

The morning started with a sweet surprise.  I came downstairs to find the house decorated so BEAUTIFULLY  by my WONDERFUL husband.

 My sweet boys had picked out a butterfly pinata for me because (as I would find out later) I am their Butterfly! I LOVED IT!  And as it would happen, today was MDO (Mother's Day Out ) for BOTH of the boys.  So after taking in all of the beautiful decor, I began this rainy day taking my boys to MDO.  Then I would have 6 hours to do ME.

My plan all along was to have a Pamper day of sorts.  I wanted to get my eyebrows arched, get a massage, a mani/pedi and watch a movie.  The movie was kind of a last minute add-on but I went with it.  I had to cancel the massage because of my short window of available time but I was able to get my eyebrows arched and my mani/pedi.

I  also got my FREE movie from Redbox (a coupon I had been holding on to, to redeem on this day).  I haven't watch the movie yet, but I have until 9pm tomorrow night, which is great because the 40 celebration is just getting started!!!  

All in all, I had one FANTASTIC day!  Who knew doing EXACTLY what you want to do can be so much fun??  It was a no fuss, no frills day but it was a VERY GOOD one.  Like I said, the party won't stop today.. next stop.... VEGAS!!!!  

Yes, the hubby and I are wheels up on Monday at 6am, heading to Vegas for a Birthday/Anniversary/Vacation Celebration!  It's the first visit for both of us and we are excited!  I will definitely be back on to post pics and tell you all about the trip.
